- You Are Responsible for Your Event: You are responsible for the accuracy of your tournament data and for how you conduct your event in the real world.

- Be Respectful: You may not use SportSync for illegal activities, to harass others, or to upload harmful content.
- Subscription & Cancellation: Our paid plans are subscriptions. You can cancel your subscription at any time, and you will retain access until the end of your billing period.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using the SportSync platform (the “Service”), you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all organizers, participants, and visitors who access the Service.
2. Your SportSync Account
- Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to create an organizer account on SportSync.
- Account Security: You are responsible for your account. This means safeguarding your password and being responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
- Accurate Information: You agree to provide us with accurate, complete, and current information during the registration process.
3. User Content & Data
- You Own Your Content: We claim no ownership over the information, data, text, logos, scores, or any other materials you upload to the Service (“User Content”). You retain full ownership of your content.
- Permission to Use Your Content: To operate the Service, you grant SportSync a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you and your participants. For example, we need this permission to display your tournament logo on your public tournament page.
- Responsibility for Your Content: You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring you have all the rights needed to use it on SportSync. You represent that your content will not violate the law or infringe upon the rights of any third party.
4. Fees, Payments, and Subscriptions
- Paid Services: Certain features of the Service may be offered on a subscription basis ("Pro Tier," etc.). By selecting a paid plan, you agree to pay SportSync the specified monthly or annual fees.
- Billing: We use a third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe) to bill you. Payments are subject to the terms and conditions of the payment processor.
- Automatic Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each term, and you authorize us to collect the then-applicable fee using the payment method we have on file for you.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Account Settings. The cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again. No refunds will be provided for any unused portion of a term.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Conduct any illegal, fraudulent, or abusive activities.
- Upload or distribute any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or hateful.
- Distribute viruses, malware, or any other malicious code.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or another user's account.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service itself—including our name, logo, branding, website design, and the underlying software and code—are the exclusive property of SportSync and its licensors. You may not use our branding without our prior written permission.
7. Termination of Service
- Termination by You: You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your Account Settings.
- Termination by Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms of Service.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- "As Is" Service: The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or completely secure.
- Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, SportSync shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or any loss of profits or data, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from your use of the Service.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice within the Service at least 30 days before the change takes effect. By continuing to use the Service after the changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
