  • Account Information: When you create an organizer account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password.
  • Tournament & User Content: When you create and manage a tournament, you provide us with information like tournament names, logos, team names, player names, schedules, scores, and event details. This information is considered your User Content.
  • Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, our third-party payment processor (Stripe) will collect your payment card information. SportSync does not store your credit card details on our servers.
  • Communications: If you contact us directly for support or feedback, we will keep a record of that communication.

b. Information We Collect Automatically

  • Usage Data: When you use our Service, we automatically collect information about your interactions, such as the features you use, the pages you visit, and the buttons you click.
  • Device and Log Information: We collect information from the device you use to access our Service, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies to operate and administer our site, gather usage data, and improve your experience. See Section 7 for more details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To Provide and Maintain the Service: To create your account, host your tournaments, display live scores and standings, and perform the core functions of the platform.

  • For Security and Fraud Prevention: To protect our platform and our users from malicious activity.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it in the following limited circumstances:

  • With Third-Party Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party companies to help us operate, secure, and improve our Service.   • Publicly Shared Information: Your User Content, such as tournament names, schedules, scores, and team names, is made public on your tournament's Public Hub page so that your participants and spectators can access it.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights or property, or prevent fraud.

4. Data Security

We take the security of your data very seriously. We use a combination of technical, administrative, and physical controls to protect your information. This includes using encryption (HTTPS) for all data transmission and hashing passwords. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We will retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. We may also retain certain information to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

If you are an organizer, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary parental consent for any data you collect from children and upload to our platform as User Content. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice within the Service before the change becomes effective.
